Emmy Award-nominee Jesse Plemons, 33, is an American actor and comedian who is widely known for his role Landry Clarke from the NBC drama series, Friday Night Lights.  

Plemons also played Todd Alquist in the 5th season of Breaking Bad and eventually won the Screen Actors Guild Award for his outstanding performance. His other notable film works include All the Pretty Horses, Like Mike, Black Mass, The Program, Bridge of Spies, Game Night, and Vice. 

Career Highlights

Jesse entered the entertainment industry at the age of 3 ½ years old, from a Coca-Cola commercial. He then began doing extra work and spent time auditioning in Los Angeles.

In the last-1990s, Jesse appeared in Varsity Blues and All the Pretty Horses. He also guests appeared in Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Walker, and Texas Ranger.

Plemons made his breakthrough at the age of 18 from NBC’s television series Friday Night Lights as Landry Clarke. 

Similarly, from 2012 to 13, Jesse portrayed the psychopathic villain Todd Alquist in the final season of the AMC drama series Breaking Bad. He was cast as a recurring cast member in Season 5A and was later promoted to the series’ regular cast for Season 5B.

In the show, he appeared alongside Bryan Cranston, who played Walter White, Anna Gunn as Skyler Whiter, Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman, and RJ Mitte as Walter White, Jr.

In late-2015, Jesse played Ed Blumquist, a butcher, and the husband of Peggy Blumquist portrayed by Kristen Dunst in the second season of Fargo. He was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his performance.

In 2017, Jesse was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his role as Robert Daly in Black Mirror.
