Jeremy Lin is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He is the first American of Chinese-Taiwanese descent to play in the NBA and one of the few Asian Americans to have played in the league.    

He began his basketball career in 2010 with Golden State Warriors. Since his debut, Lin has played for several clubs, including Reno Bighorns, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, and Toronto Raptors.

The 32-year-old player began playing basketball at a young age. During his high school career, he captained Palo Alto High School to a 32-1 record and upset the nationally ranked Mater Dei and ended his high school senior year averaging 15.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 5.0 steals.   

During his senior year at Harvard, he averaged 16.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.1 blocks. 

Unfortunately, following his graduation, he was not chosen in the 2010 NBA draft by any team. He then joined the Dallas Mavericks for mini-camp and their NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.     

On 21st July 2010, Jeremy was signed to Golden State Warriors with a two-year deal partially guaranteed for the 2010-11 NBA season. During this time, he signed a three-year contract with Nike.  

He was then signed to the New York Knicks and was placed on the point guard depth chart.

On 27th August 2019, Jeremy was signed to Beijing Ducks of the CBA for a reported $3 million per year. He led the Ducks to a 103-1 win over the Tianjin Gold Lions on 3rd November with 25 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds.    On 1st February 2020, the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) postponed the season due to the 2019-20 coronavirus pandemic.  

Short Biography

Jeremy Shu-How Lin was born on 23rd August 1988 in Torrance, California, to parents Shirly Lin and Gie-Ming Lin. He is an American as per his nationality and has Chinese and Taiwanese ethnic descent. 

He grew up alongside his older brother Joshua and younger brother Joseph and went to Palo Alto High School.   He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in economics and a 3.1 grade-point average in 2010.
