Donatella Versace has been a part of a number of charitable foundations. In Sep 2009, Versace met dozens of youngsters after visiting the Art Unites program at the Whitney Museum of American Art in N.Y.C. 

She provided art supplies to children and created a kind Versace tote which sold for $250 per piece., with proceeds going to Children’s Foundation and the Jet Li One Foundation. For which, Versace also got a Do Something With Style Award nomination. 

The fashion designer also supports the American Foundation for AIDS Research, Elton John AIDS Foundation, and One Foundation as well.   

Versace Plunked Down $5.6 Million On Her Italian Lakefront House  

In August 2019, Donatella Versace dropped $5.6 million on her vacation villa in northern Italy. As per the real estate agency Engel & Völkers Lago Maggiore, the previous owner of the property was the Italian publishing magnate Arnoldo Mondadori. The house features 20 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. 

The 15,000 sq-feet mansion also has a rich history with having a huge collection of many cultural icons like Walt Disney, Ernest Hemingway, George Simenon, and more. 

On the other hand, the former Miami Beach house Gianni sold for $41.5 million at an auction in Sep 2013. President, Donald Trump was the second-highest bidder on the mansion at $41 million.

Short-Bio Of Donatella Versace

Donatella Versace was born on 2nd May 1955 in Reggio di, Calabria, Italy to Antonio Versace, was a salesman, and Francesca Versace was a dressmaker.  

Versace had an older brother Gianni Versace. Both Donatella and Gianni first honed their designing skills from their mother, who had a dressmaking business. 

Talking to The New Yorker, Donatella said, 

I was the baby of the family, I was so spoiled. I was the best-dressed little girl in the city.

Donatella attended a university in Florence but dropped out of college to underpin her brother Gianni’s clothing business.   

Married And Children

Donatella Versace married her ex-husband, American model Paul Beck, in 1983. The two have two children, a daughter Allegra Versace Beck, born 30 June 1986 and son Daniel Versace, born in 1989. 

After their divorce in 2000, Versace tied the knot with her second husband, Manuel Dallori, in 2004. Their relationship also lasted for just a year, and they divorced a year after their marriage.
